Position Summary
The Commercial Loan Processor supports the bank’s commercial lending function by coordinating and processing commercial loan requests from approval through closing and booking. This role is responsible for preparing and organizing loan files, collecting required documentation, coordinating with internal departments and external partners, and ensuring loans are processed accurately, timely, and in compliance with bank policy and regulatory requirements. The Commercial Loan Processor works closely with commercial lenders, the Credit Analyst, and Loan Servicing to deliver a smooth closing experience and maintain strong file quality and documentation standards.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 2–5 years of loan processing experience, preferably in commercial lending within a financial institution.
  • Working knowledge of commercial loan documentation, collateral perfection (UCC/real estate), and closing processes.
  • Strong attention to detail, file organization, and follow-through.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with loan systems preferred.
Key Responsibilities
  • Process commercial loan requests from approval through closing, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
  • Collect, review, and verify required loan documentation, including financial statements, entity documents, insurance, and collateral information.
  • Prepare and maintain complete loan files in accordance with bank policy and regulatory standards.
  • Coordinate closing requirements with lenders, borrowers, title companies, attorneys, and other third parties as needed.
  • Order and track third-party items such as appraisals, flood determinations, title work, UCC searches/filings, and insurance verifications.
  • Ensure loan documentation aligns with approved terms, conditions, and credit requirements prior to closing.
  • Communicate status updates and outstanding items to lenders and internal teams to keep loans progressing.
  • Support loan closings by coordinating document execution, funding requirements, and post-closing file completion.
  • Ensure loans are properly boarded, documented, and recorded as applicable.
  • Maintain strong internal controls, confidentiality, and adherence to compliance and operational standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
